Kuhi Baba Mount Range

The Baba Mountain range is the western extension of the Hindu Kush, and the origin of Afghanistan's Kabul, Arghandab, Helmand, Farah, Hari, Murghab, Balkh, and Kunduz rivers. The mountain range is crowned by Foladi peak rising 5143 m; 16,873 ft. above sea level, and is located south of Bamyan.

Day 1

Arrive at Kabul. We spend the day in relative safety of a high security accommodation.

Day 2

Drive to Bamyan. Stay would be in a hotel with the best safety record or a guest house adhering to every possible safety precautions.

Days 3 to 6

Modus operandi would be to drive to a road head, hike up a valley or slope to the summit or camp in between if the hike is too long. We could access multiple road heads and explore multiple valleys.
We could also plan side trips to other well known landmarks like Band-i-Amir Garganathu etc.

Day 7

Drive back to Kabul and fly out.
