The Lady of Keylong is the name of glacier, in which a dark patch in the middle looks like a female figure walking with a load on her back and hence named by Lady Elashainghday.

5 August 2018, a team of 19 mountaineering instructors chosen for expedition to Mt.Lady of Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti was flagged off . Team successfully scaled the peak at 0730 hrs on 11 August 2018. Flag in ceremony was done by the chief guests Ashwani Kumar,(HAS) and Col. Chetan(retd) accompanied by other esteemed guests.
Mt Lady of Keylong was climbed only by ITBP and Colonel Chetan(retd) and his team so far in early 1980’s. The feat was repeated only in 2018 when this peak was climbed by the mountaineering instructors of which included the founder of
“The Mountain Knights”.
